Summer is our favorite time of year here at Holla Knits – warm weather knitting time! Holla Knits Summer 2016 has 6 patterns to keep you looking cool in your favorite cotton, linen, and even wool yarns. From eyelet pullovers to cabled shorts, from intarsia doggies to stranded crop tops. Each of these pieces is fun, wearable, and sure to become summer staples.
Holla Knits designers Kirsten Singer and Ann Weaver bring their signature looks to the collection – Kirsten’s Corrine is a classic easy wearing pullover with eyelet side panels while Ann’s Mediteromanian Hotel pairs stripes of stockinette stitch and lace to make the perfect summer tee. New to Holla Knits designer Kristen TenDyke also uses lace and stripes to create Andi Cardigan, a button cardi you’ll want on a cool summer evening. Also new to Holla Knits are Mona Zillah and Solene Le Roux, bringing very distinct and original pieces to the collection with Shortbread Cookie, perfect for dog lovers everywhere, and Wet Hot Summer Shorts, which are exactly that! Rounding out the collection is editor Allyson Dykhuizen’s stranded colorwork cropped tee Damon.
This issue also includes an article on beach knitting from Faith Parke-Dodge and a letter from the editor.
