Last week was nice and leisurely. You got to finish your goal within an hour or two, and then just hang out and enjoy your post-Labor-Day week. This week – get ready to get back to work!
This Week’s Holla Back Tank Goal: Cast on the back of the tank and work through the waist decreases.
This week’s goal is a mirror image of Week 1. We’re casting on the back of the tank, and knitting in the lace pattern for 9 or 9.5 inches, until you’ve finished the waist decreases.
But this time, we’re working that gorgeous lace panel in the center. After you complete the first set-up row for the lace, it should go smoothly. I’m definitely going to use a row counter to keep track of the lace pattern, just in case I have to set down my work and forget where I am!
It’ll be a bit harder than the front, but you can do it! And if you’re all caught up at the end of this week, you’ll be entered to win our mid-KAL prize: A one-on-one Knitting Skype Class with Allyson and me! In order to be entered, just email me your up-to-date WIP picture and firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight (PST) on Sunday, September 16th. You can post your WIP pictures in the forum, too, but you must email it to be entered in the contest. I’ll announce the winner next Monday!
On top of that, I have more exciting news: Designer Emma Welford has offered an additional prize for the end of the KAL! Emma is giving away a kit with one of her original Valley Yarns patterns (Gnomey Earflap Hat, Wavy Gravy Mittens, or Fiddlehead Set) with yarn of the winner’s choice (as long as it’s currently in stock). More motivation to keep up with your weekly goals!
So go get ’em, Holla Knittas!
